On March 1, 2014; Slow Healing presented the talents of Holistic Dancer and Psychotherapist: Carmen Robles Herrera MS Ed, MSW, R-LCSW. Carmen gave an incredible presentation on how dance can miraculously transform imbalances. Carmen demonstrated how dance has no age limit and she truly rock the 4th anniversary of the Old San Juan Market with her passion. Since she was a child growing up in Puerto Rico, Carmen has channeled her inner dancer to help herself navigate through challenges and to celebrate life. She believes dance is an organic expression of the spirit and soul that we all hold deep in our body. Carmen shares her love for Puerto Rico and she feels it is blessed with a culture abundant with music and dance. If we open our hearts and listen to the rhythm of the island, we can heal many of the issues we face on our daily encounters. Carmen, we thank you for connecting us to a simple, natural and basic way to heal the soul. We also want to give a special thanks to Laura Daen, Aurora Sastre, Javier Rivera, Cindy Golbert, all the Old San Juan market volunteers, and the staff of the Old San Juan museum.
